ATT Fiber Download Speeds

I just updated my ATT fiber configuration.  I changed my PACE 5268AC router to client setup to a router-behind-router setup.  I am using a netgear x4s (which is a gigabit router) and also updated the latest firmware and using google dns servers.  After testing the wired connections (i don' do that often) from the router to my laptop i did find my download speeds varied alot from my upload speeds.  I have had 150 download compared to 800-900 upload speeds.  Any ideas?  Is there anything i can do on my end to resolve this?

Equipment:

ATT 1GB fiber

Pace 5268AC router (configured to router-behind-router)

Nighthawk x4s gigabit router (configured to DMZPlus mode)

Result:

wired connections 150 download/800 upload

wifi connections 380 download/415 upload (normal)

should i be worried?

Hi,

Do you have the same results if you are testing directly off of the Pace router. If you are, Please send us a Private Message here: http://soc.att.com/2uEE6Ki with your account and contact info, so that we can look into this further for you. If you are not, the issue is either with the cable or how the secondary router is setup.

What is the PC or laptop you are using to test? (specs)

I have seen this quite a few times. Usually is limitations of the device, some examples: not enough RAM, older processor, anti virus software.

We can remove a lot of variables based on the fact that you're getting that upload speed. Your ethernet is 4 pairs otherwise you wouldn't get 800mbps up. Your Nighthawk is indeed pushing out 1gbps otherwise you wouldn't get 800mbps up.

Do you have other devices to try hardwired?

The wifi looks about right for a 5GHz AC wifi device, so nothing concerns me there.

I have similar setup. When I configure it for DMZ Plus, my download is 50 mb and upload is 1100 mb.

When removing the DMZ Plus, I get download 940 mb, upload 950 mb.
