AT&T Fiber Box / ONT can trip GFCI in garage?
My GFCI in my garage has been tripping every other day, even though I have only plugged in the AT&T Fiber Box / ONT. Also, I asked my electrician to check the wiring and make sure it was sufficient, and he replaced the GFCI with a brand new one, but the issue persists. Is there possibly an issue with the AT&T Fiber Box / ONT causing this ground fault? I would be grateful for any experiences anyone can offer.

Which ONT (pic?), while highly unlikely is have an older Nokia 210 or 240 with external mounted power supply in the garage… may be moisture related in the outlet or equipment, especially if in southern states with high humidity.
The above link provides some of most common including a total different outlet but part of the electrical path from the circuit breaker which may include garage door opener, refrigerator or freezer, sump pump, power tools, etc.

The problem was with the GFCI and outlet wiring, and I discovered that the ATT Fiber box is a delicate device. I resolved the issue by plugging it into a separate healthy outlet, and I'm happy to report that there have been no further problems in the past three days.
Thank you
