Alarm light on ONT is on

So I got AT&T Fiber installed yesterday and it is already out today. 

 

I have an service call set up for this evening but wanted to have a thread to update anyone else having the problem.

 

Yesterday the installer was have a problem getting consistent readings from the outside box to the inside ONT (the white box inside the house) from the pole to the house was reading -15 but once inside it would range from -30 to -20. When he left and it was working it was reading -20. Then over night it stopped working. 

 

No trouble shooting could be done online as the router could not be reach. When attempting to pull up a website I would get an Authentication Gateway error. It appears that there is either no light to the ONT or it is out of range.

 

I'll update this after the tech leaves and it is hopefully fixed.

Problem solved.

 

There was a cut in the line. Not sure how it happened, it was inside the outside box and could've been a number of things. 

 

Technician was able to find and fix it quickly. 

 

So error light does mean no light or out of range light getting to the ONT (White box inside house). Eitehr get an appointment setup for a tech to come out or if service was just installed you may be able to call the installing technician to swing by and check it out. (Mine recommended that) 

Fingers crossed no more issues!
