30 Mps speed for 300 plan
Anybody experiences the issue I have?
My plan is 300 Mps but my speed test results never get close to that.
Most of the time is around 30 - 50 Mps.
Restart the gateway (Arris), turn off all devices in the house but my phone, I still get the same speed. Sometimes, it goes up to about 60 Mps. The highest speed I can get is 90 Mps on a wired lan laptop (not Wifi).
Is this only me or everyone got screwed the same way?
AT&T some help here, please!

I just installed my 300M Fiber U-Verse. I can go into the AT&T installed Arris BGW210-700, go to the Diagnostics tab and click on the Speed Test and I'm getting my 300M but if I log into myAT&T account and do a test from there, I get <100M. Same results with speedtest.net and speakeasy.net. I have a ASUS RT-N66U behind the Arris BGW210 in LAN port 1 and I have the Arris set up as Pass-thru. I set the LAN port to 1G full duplex. The ASUS says it will do 450M. I am connected via the 5GHz Wi-Fi. I am also getting the same results with my other wireless devices as well as my desktop that's direct connected to my ASUS router. Actually tried connecting Wi-Fi directly to the Arris and still got the same results. What gives? The AT&T tech that did the install says his demarc is the Arris and it shows 300M so he says AT&T is good.

That's too much. I don't want to get another router. It should work the way they advertise it with what they provide us. We shouldn't be hauling a** for something we are told we'll get with the price we pay.
I'm someone that knows nothing about all this technicality. I just want it to works the way it should be.
I mean, if you go to McDonald's and buy a big Mac, do you expect to have to light up the grill and grill the patty? Or go buy your own ketchup?
