internet outage

I work from home and had an Internet Outage yesterday from 11:21am - 1:00pm ET. I never received an email or text. How can I receive an email from ATT with date and time of outage?

Are you sure it was an outage?

You checked the website and your address, street was identified as part of a known outage.

Outages generally affect several addresses with a common cause, however the outage is generally days not less than 2 hours. Your issue may have been result of upgrade or work being done in the lines such as damaged wiring from squirrel, bird, mice as example. The tech working the damage repairs all connections at the damage instead of just known bad pairs... a 900 pair cable repair would have been an all day job...

As you were just a few hours, likely local terminal work. No notice before or after. Residential service is entertainment service... generally repairs can be 3 to 7 days... you were hours.

My internet just went out from 11:21a-1:15p. The box had the red Service light on. When the reset didnt work I called 1800 3 x's and had AI reset on two of the phone calls. I finally unplugged everything, the red light was still lit. Called a third time asked for a call back, wait time was 45-56 min. 30 min into waiting all the lights on the box turned off, red service did not appear and Internet back on. I usually receive an email or text but I didnt get anything this time and I needed to show proof of outage to my employer.

Sounds like you need a business account instead of a residential account which is for entertainment purposes not business. You might be able to get the information you're looking for by accessing the modem data.
