I am still being charged for HBO Max
I ordered AT&T Fiber on May 30th, 2022. There was a promotion offering HBO Max at no extra cost. I have been signed in through my AT&T credentials since then, but I'm still being charged $14.99 by HBO.
My AT&T account shows that I have HBO Max. When I click "Start Watching Now" it takes me to my HBO Max account no problem. It does show my regular, non-AT&T email under my account settings, but it says "Your HBO Max Subscription is billed through AT&T" and doesn't even give me an option to deactivate my account.
Full disclosure: I was already subscribed to HBO Max before ordering AT&T Fiber. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Yes that is why you are being charged for HBOMax you purchases a standalone account.
You need to Sign in through AT&T and create a new HBOMax Account profile but at this late date you may lose the free HBOMax access if you have never actually used it since AT&T sold off HBOMax to Discovery+ last June.
Once you get this mess resolved you need to cancel your individual $14.95 HBOMax account. Are you actually billed directly via HBOMax?

Hi @dave006 !
Thanks so much for the help! Very informative.
I found the culprit, and I’m a little embarrassed to admit that my old paid account was still signed in on my TV using a different, older email. I cancelled that account and signed back in with my AT&T account.
Thanks again!
