Fiber Reward Fraud

I signed up for AT&T Fiber as a new customer.  I received an email to claim my reward.  I filled out all of the information and was then told I was not eligible for an award because I did not incur an early cancellation fee from my other internet provider.  This condition is not listed anywhere in AT&T disclosures that induced me to sign up for Fiber.  I have now been on hold with the reward center for two hours.  I am reporting this to the Louisiana Attorney General and to the FTC by close of business this Friday if I do not hear from AT&T. I can be reached at [EIDTED per Community Guidelines - removed personal information].

Not a fraud. You are eligible for 2 offers. You got the email for the up to $200 to offset any ETF from your previous ISP. Since you did not pay one then you don't qualify for this Reward. This email can be confusing.

You should still qualify for $200-$350 for new service. How long have you had your new service?

To claim your new service reward you need to go to the Rewards site and claim your reward(s) and then chose your reward.

Chose Access Rewards "Blue" button and on the popup page enter your Account number and you 5 digit Zipcode. This Reward should be available about 30 days after your install date.

Then you can chose to receive a printed card via the mail or an egift card via email.

I'm experiencing this same issue! I'm about to cancel after just 45 days and return to Spectrum. I have been on the phone with representatives all day- one person finally said they saw my early termination fee rewards, but I am not eligible for that. They then said they would manually add the rewards for being an existing wireless customer and that I should see the status on the rewards center site - however, I see nothing. What a disgrace from ATT! I just paid off my phone and will immediately find another wireless carrier as well.

They did me that way check your email you should get 2 rewards.  I did get a bill showing my etf and they refuse to let me upload it a second time.  The first time it uploaded right away so they sent me a postcard saying it did not.  Even if u did get what they need u still wouldnt get it.  I have already received my $200 reward do a search at your email website for ATT its probably hidden.  They offer 2 rewards not just 1.

This happened to me as well, although I never received an email from ATT. ATT is doing bait & switch to get customers to sign up and using misleading tactics. I signed up online for ATT Fiber internet which offered a $300 Visa Rewards card. After the internet was set up, in my account there was a notification alert that I had 30 days to redeem the $300 Visa Rewards. I contacted ATT support multiple times on how do I redeem this. They told me I should be getting an email with the Visa rewards information. That was several weeks ago and still no email. Shortly after having the internet setup, I moved 3 of my wireless phone lines over to ATT and purchased 2 iPhones. The ATT rep who ported over our lines confirmed that we would be getting the $300 Visa rewards card and that I had to contact the rewards center to redeem it. I called the Rewards center several days ago and they told me that I had to wait 30 days for it to be available/redeemable and they would mail me the Visa rewards card. They told me to call back today (March 1st) to redeem. I called the Rewards department today and they told me that I did not qualify because I signed up for internet before I signed up for wireless services. What??? That is not what I was told by several ATT reps. Also, when I signed up online, the $300 Visa Rewards promotion was posted and included, otherwise, I would not have seen it in my account notifications. This is bait & switch, ATT, and unacceptable! I am returning those 2 iPhones and moving my 3 wireless lines over to a competitor.

You can’t return the phones if it’s past 14 days

Maybe you should have read the fine print details.... 14 days is 14 days P.E.R.I.O.D. no wiggle room....

@Constructive@Davde

You guys should really take the time to actually read my post before commenting as you missed the obvious point. The point was that ATT is not honoring the Rewards for signing up for Fiber internet (just like the original poster said).

You have to pay the etf yourself first then get reimbursed from ATT by a Visa card. Of course you have to show proof you even incurred the etf fee at all. I received my $200 Visa card immediately one year ago when I signed up, then after sending them a copy of my bill from white county cable showing I paid it they sent me a $600 Visa card in the mail (because my etf was $600). Do you actually think you can make up a number and they will reimburse you? Good luck with that.

You only get one chance to add your reward online and upload the proof, if you mess it up there's another option. I tried posting it before but they took it down. I'll try to do it MAKE discreetly. THE I don't know why SWITCH it has to be a secret @ I guess it saves directv-rewardcenter.com money. So I'm trying it again. Just email your documents there.
