Can't play Consoles online (PS, XBox)
Since I got home from work this morning (roughly 11am) I have been unable to play my Gaming Consoles Online. My internet is fully functional with the exception of playing games on my consoles. My PC has Zero issues, I can play online. This is only effecting my Playstation and my Brothers XBox. I talked to my neighbor that I game with and he's having the same issues. Can't play his Playstation online either (we can connect online and use Party Chat, we just can't play anything. No games, no Netflix (or other media apps)). I've done a factory reset on my router, rebooted all devices, used the att online help (found no problems, when there obviously is). Everything was working just fine last night. Anyone able to help???

Its now the following morning and the issue still exist. I was hoping it would have been fixed overnight.
As pointed out in another users post on reddit (who seems to be having the same issue as me), this seems to be an Authentication issue. Console games requiring an Online connection are unable to Authenticate/Handshake. For instance: I can't even reach the lobby on Fortnite, it just sits there in a loop of Checking for Updates then Logging in, and back to Checking for Updates. Gotham Knights, I can only play solo (gets thru the WB logo then sits there on a blurry screen trying to get online connection then eventually gets to the main menu, but then I fail to join each and every single game, can't even invite my friends). Rec Room, same thing; can't connect online, it just times out. Every single Console (Both PS and XBox) game I try to play online is unable to be played.
I have internet access, everything seems to be fine on my end of things. I'm capable of playing games on my Laptop. And I can use Party Chat on my Consoles (though it takes it a bit to get into the parties). As stated in my original post above, my neighbor is having the same exact issues. So this is not an isolated issue within my household, its gotta be an issue with ATT somewhere. I just don't know where. I tried ATTs online troubleshooting and it says there are no outages and no issues with my connection.
Does anyone have any ideas that may be of help? I've tried reseting and rebooting my Router. Rebooted all devices connected. Even plugged my PS5 directly to the router and still same issues. I just don't understand how this can only be affecting Gaming Consoles and not games on my Laptop? Is it the packet types that are the issues? Is ATT somehow blocking packets specifically from PS and XBox?

We want to help you get back to gaming, Rizzorian!
Thank you for letting us know which steps you've already taken to troubleshoot.
We recommend that you set up port forwarding for your gateway. This can help with establishing a connection to your gaming console. Be sure to choose your equipment from the drop-down menu on that page to ensure you follow the correct steps.
Please let us know how it goes!

So I also am having the same issue. I think this has to be something regional because I confirmed with another friend of mine and he's been having the same issue. Where do you live?
There's also a problem where whenever I search bing or try to navigate somewhere on the internet, it will sit and take forever to load but if I refresh it will immediately load, it's almost like some sort of timeout. I talked to ATT this morning and they can't see my router and claimed that was the issue but I'm suspect now and I think that it's something specifically regional and the new router/modem isn't going to resolve the issue. I don't see any packets being dropped or anything like that but my speeds are trash- download is fine ~900mbps but my upload speeds have been anywhere as low as 90mbps but no higher than 400mbps for the past 24 hours.

This sound like the same issue I have been having since yesterday day. Not with Xbox or PS, but with Direct Tv stream and some trading apps that I use. Speeds are fine, but these few connections are failing. Worked fine on my phone hotspot and I have rebooted everything as well as taken all my network gear out of the loop. This is in DFW Texas. Need to look into this as it seems packets or ports are being blocked or dropped somewhere. Here are the first hops out.

Thanks for the response, Lacey. I was already on the phone with ATT and did all of this troubleshooting- They are sending me a new router but after seeing the several posts here, I think it would be appropriate for someone at ATT to dig into this a big more. It seems like another person in the DFW Texas area is experiencing issues. I agree with Andy's assessment too that I'm seeing dropped packets and poor upload speeds. I don't think it's the router.

Appreciate the reply Lacey. Even after re-applying the forwarded ports to my my consoles I am still sitting in the same boat. Unable to play online even though I am fully connected. There's an issue somewhere outside of all of homes thats on ya'lls end that needs to be fixed. Find what changed in the North Ft. Worth area of Texas prior to 10a(CST) yesterday (12/16/2022) and you'll be a lot closer to solving this problem.

Rizzorian Is right. That’s when my issues started as well. If I were to guess it’s something todo with UDP packets. But there is definitely something going on in the Fort Worth/ NRH area.
