At&t upgraded my internet speed without my consent then tried to tell me that I initiated it. Anyone had this happen? What can I do to complain or report fraud?

@my thoughts No. I did not have a tech to my house or initiate any contact with AT&T. They upgraded my internet fiber from 300 speed to 1000 speed without my ordering or consent.

Congratulations on having fiber.
As some post in the wrong forum, I was wondering if this was a lower speed DSL and we’re upgraded to best DSL speed address could support. Example upgraded from 10 or 12 to 25, or upgrade 25 to 50.
Did your monthly rate increase with the speed change?

@my thoughts Yes, they added the additional $25 charge for the upgrade.

3 times the speed for less than $1 / day.
Recommend calling and lowering speed tier back to internet 300.
