Account Audited and Promotions Removed

Question

So when looking for an internet service for our new house, we were told by an AT&T representative that we would be able to receive the Fiber 1000 for only $20 a month for our first year. I know it sounded to good to be true, but the rep said we'd get that price since they were showcasing the Fiber internet in the new area.

So that was back in April of this year and we've only been paying $20/month for our internet. Well apparently ATT ran an audit on our account and determined that the promotions added to our account were "errors", so now our monthly bill is $70 all of a sudden. So it took 6 months for them to figure that one out. Basically the lady who sold us the package added promotions that she shouldn't have, and while they all say they expire in April 2020, ATT is no longer honoring the price we were given.

Customer support said there's nothing they can do, so is there any way to get AT&T to honor the original price?

the promotions expire, was this a door to door salesperson? they are not at&t employees they are 3rd party sales, though the majority of them are honest some as in any company are a bit shady, they tell you a year when its actually 6 months they are paid within that time and they move on to the next company. the thing with promotions is they are entered into the computer and expire, when you call at&t they look in the computer if theres nothing there theres nothing they can give you

This was someone reached through the phone number provided when trying to get a new service. All of my bills up to this month have shown 3 promotions: $20, $30, and $30 all expiring in April 2020. So my bill since April 2019 when the service was started has been $20/month. This month however it jumped up to $70. Support told me that my account had been audited due to promotion "errors", and that I was only eligible for a $30 off promotion.
