Is it possible to connect to MicroCell with IMEI instead of Phone #?
I have a 2Gig Go Control alarm panel that uses an AT&T wireless modem that I would like to connect through my MicroCell (Black DPH-154).
The issue is that the panel's phone number: 577-619-XXXX is rejected as ineligible. The area code 577 is a special non-geographic area code reserved for personal communications services, which seems to be an issue.
Is there a way to get the alarm panel to connect to the MicroCell besides just the phone number? Such as entering the IMEI?

Not that I am aware of. The IMEI codes are an assigned range for AT&T services, as they are for other providers. The codes have to already be in the AT&T code base as approved codes.
The MicroCell needs to have an AT&T approved phone number, from a post-paid account to work. The IMEI code is required by the MicroCell to confirm that the device is approved for use on the AT&T Mobility Network. The area code/phone number is necessary to confirm the physical location of the MicroCell for verification purposes, among other reasons.
You mentioned the AT&T wireless modem. Are you referring to the Wireless Home Phone, WHP?

No, they are two different animals. The alarm panel communicates as a cellular phone and does not use a landline. The common model# is 2GIG- GC3GA-A and is referred to as a "Radio Modem". It allows there to be 2-way audio between the alarm center and the panel in my house, in addition to sending the alarm signal and controlling home automation.
I appreciate the reply.

Ok. Yeah, I don't think it will work because the MicroCell needs a phone that is registered to the AT&T cellular network. The owner of the MicroCell has to have a post-paid AT&T cellular account (primary phone number) for activation but you can add pre-paid AT&T cellular accounts to the Approved Users List.

does the recorded information for each call show the imei number of the metrocell , the imei of at&t phone used to register, or the imei of the approved user. Seems like subpoened phone records show only imei of registered owner, not of other approved users on metrocell

No, there isn’t much support and no new sales for microcells since something like 2018. It was setup with a portal that required an active AT&T customer login and then a serial number for the microcell and phone for the device. It didn’t allow the user to program the imei info through this portal and wouldn’t let anyone access portal without first having an active account to log into to with a phone number.
