Cell booster activation

How can I successfully activate my new cell booster.  I followed the directions and the cell booster is registered.   The top led is flashing (for over an hour).  Multiple attempts yield the same result.  Internet is active and cable connected to booster and ATT modem and all other equipment connects to the signal.  Power supply directly connected to an active outlet.  GPS antenna mounted on window and connected to booster.

Is this a defective component?

Power cycle the Cell Booster or hold the Reset button in for about 5-10 seconds. The flashing power light could be a firmware update that didn't go well.

I'm moving this to the Cell Booster Forum.

@willough  Can you explain your setup, ISP, speeds, and phones? Have you read my Tech Guide, link is in my sig line.

I have Xfinity's highest speed cable internet. I own my own voice modem, a Netgear Nighthawk CM2050V. It is connected to a 5 port hub/switch to spread wired internet. I also have a Google Nest mesh Wi-Fi connected to the hub with a few of their devices throughout the house. I have the cell booster Ethernet cable running from the booster to the hub and the internet light on the booster is lit so that seems ok. Thanks for the assistance.

@willough Did you scan the QR sticker code on the front of the CBooster when you registered via the app? When I did so, the last digit of the serial number was missing and I then manually completed it in the registration app.  That got her going quickly.

@OttoPylot I finally got this working by plugging the booster into the LAN port of the Google Nest rather than the hub attached to my Nighthawk modem.  The Nest is so "un-router" looking that it's easy to forget it is a router and it hands out dhcp assignments which must be what is needed in this process.  I did try this connection when I first received the booster but misread the lights - plugging directly into the hub provided a yellow internet light that I mistakenly took to mean it was receiving internet - when it actually indicated a network problem per your guide.  Once I connected the booster to the (only) LAN port of the Google Nest only the power light was flashing and I walked for a couple of hours.  I later received notice that the device had been activated.  All lights are now lit.

@wolfox I had entered the serial number manually at the outset.

Thank you both for your suggestions.

@OttoPylot May I ask a question? I noticed your personal equipment in your guide is "Xfinity cable (800/20), Motorola DOCSIS 3.1 modem, Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi".  This is very similar to my own equipment though the modem brand is different and my mesh Wi-Fi is Google Nest. I currently have an Ethernet cable running from the modem to a powered 5 port switch and then to the Google Nest WAN port. Would it be better to go from modem to Nest to switch or is it all the same?  I then have a cable going from the LAN port of the Google Nest to the cell booster. I want to run these connections in the most logical and direct manner. Thanks.

@willough The most direct connection possible is always the best. For my upstairs connection, going backwards from the Cell Booster, it's a 50' CAT-5e cable -> powered, 8-port gigabit switch -> ethernet wall plate -> 150' solid core CAT-6 cable -> ethernet wall plate -> Netgear (Orbi) router. The router is then connected via a 6' ethernet cable to the Motorola DOCSIS modem -> coax to the wall and off to Xfinity.

I to manually entered the serial number and registered/activated using the weblink. I don't usually use QR codes because if they scan wrong, or miss a digit or two, you have issues.
