Why aren’t my calls going to voicemail?

Any time someone calls me and i dont answer, it goes to a busy sound, and i do have voicemail setup and have changed the password and double checked everything in my settings. Still nothing

Do you have any call filtering apps like Call Protect or Robokiller?  Are you sure the calls are valid?  A lot of robocalls will just disconnect if they detect a voicemail greeting.

We know how important it is to receive voicemails, @Christian. We're here to help you get these voicemails.

Our ACE @dwill05 brought up a great point. Call filtering apps, such as ActiveArmor, may block incoming callers from leaving a voicemail, so we appreciate you confirming you don't have these apps.

If there's weak signal, then your device wouldn't be able to receive voicemails. There's a quick way you can confirm your connection by following these quick steps:

  1. Reboot your phone by turning it off, waiting 10 seconds, and turning it back on.
  2. Place a test call to 611. Do one of the following, based on your results:
    • If the call is successful, press and hold 1 to dial into your voicemail system.
    • If the call fails, check your address to check if something's going on in your area.
    • If Visual Voicemail won't download, press and hold 1 to check your messages.

Please share the results, so we can check out some other troubleshooting options like Call Forwarding in your account's settings next.
