Verification codes
How can I text help to the short code if I'm not even receiving the text to begin with. None of my phones on my family plan are receiving verification codes. We have tried all of the steps posted. I also tried customer care and they keep trying to reset my pin. That's not the problem. The problem is that if another company wants to verify who I am by sending me a text message, I am not receiving the text message. Big problem.

I'm not trying to be rude but your tips don't make sense. How do I know what short code the text is coming from if I'm not even receiving the text to begin with? I've checked my block list and there are not short code numbers that are being blocked. We also reset the network settings and it still does not work.

Hi, my husband (android) and I (iPhone) are all of a sudden having the same problem with multiple companies - Truist, Synovus, Vanguard, and Marriott Bonvoy. We can’t get security texts from any of them. Either they are all using the same system, or there is a new problem with AT&T.

Hello @KConklin, we are here to help you with troubleshooting steps to receive short codes to your device.
Let's start by resetting your network settings to refresh your connection to the network.
Notification bar, then select the Settings icon > scroll to and select General management > select Reset > Reset network settings > Reset settings > select Reset to confirm.
Many applications use Two-Factor Authentication to verify your identity. You need to verify your identity with some apps like Gmail or PayPal in order to use them. If you do not see the text messages, the steps below may help:
If you do not receive text, we highly recommend verifying the number or email in question is accurate with the party you are attempting to complete the two-step authentication with. Contacting the third party Customer Support is recommended if you cannot verify it online.
Let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Thank you. I reset my network settings, but that did not resolve the issue.
The numbers aren't blocked. We aren't getting texts from three banks, Marriott, or our laundry service and this is happening to two phones - one android and one iPhone at least since November 8. Could something have been switched on our account that would cause these messages not to come through?
