Hello @abumaryam, we're here to help you check the status of your lock device for you.

Submit a request to unlock a device

  1. Go to att.com/deviceunlock.
  2. Select Unlock your device and follow the prompts.

 Check your request status

  • Check your email (including spam or junk folders) or text messages for updates on your request. If you don't have a wireless phone account, you have to select Confirm request on the email we sent you.
  • Go to att.com/deviceunlock and follow the prompts.
Good to know:
  • It usually takes a few minutes to approve your request, but it could take up to 48 hours. Don't have a wireless phone account? Make sure you select Confirm request on the email we sent you or request will be canceled.
  • If you can’t find the email or text message we sent you, submit another request and we’ll resend it.
  • If we don’t approve your request, it’s probably because your device isn’t eligible to be unlocked.

Check out our Device Unlock Eligibility requirements for more information. Here you can double check if your device was blacklisted.

Let us know if the information provided was helpful.

I've had the same problem. After 3.5 months of daily calling, I finally solved the problem. If it claims it is fraud related, make a complaint to the fraud department, calling them does no good.  Sign into att/fraud.department.fraud and report your issue and they will clarify it.  I've spoken to the fraud department and while they indicated no fraud, there was not a protocol to unlock the phone except for filing a fraud complaint.  (The fraud department will not tell you this part)  I know it does not make sense but it worked.
