smishing/phishing
Once I have reported the phishing/smishing will ATT reply on that same phishing text that I have reported it and to reply with my phone number so who sent the text? Why wouldn't ATT send a separate text?

When you forward a text to SPAM (7726) it always responds asking the phone number because all you did is forward (send) them the contents of the text. They don’t have the number until you send it to them. That’s how the system works. As to why they don’t send a separate text, who knows?
