Requested unlock my iphone, case still pending since 3.9.23 device paid off since february.

​I tried the app, I tried support tech, I tried customer service, the case is still pending, but the money of the device was “taken” from bank acct. Nobody knows nothing about it, they said “just wait” and I have more than 2 weeks waiting 😒​

Okay... So?   

It can take until a new bill cycle starts for the phone to show as paid off in the unlock portal. And if you are no longer a customer, or the phone is no longer in use, that complicates things even further.

If you cancel service, you have to wait until the final bill along with all phone payments are paid off. Only then is the phone eligible to be unlocked .

And if the phone is no longer actively being used on your account you should request the unlock as a non customer

I just called att, they want us come back to att for unlock, they saying IMEI 1 is unblocked, but IMEI 2 needs unblock ONLY with att service. so I paid a device but is not mine ??? 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

If if this were an ipad, I would say this is possible. It is not possible with a phone. If you unlock a phone with two sims, both SIM cards are unlocked. Whatever the problem is that isn't it.

 

I am sure there's more to the story, but unless you are willing to provide more information, no one here is going to be able to help you. File an FCC complaint online.  The complaint is forwarded back to AT&t upper management someone will call you. At the very least they will tell you really why they won't unlock the phone. Whether it's an unpaid bill, or you still haven't paid the phone off. Or whether it's a prepaid phone that required 6 months on AT&t prepaid that has not been fulfilled.

It is already paid off I have the receipt and they know it. (no 2 sims cards) the only service was att. I was wondering if someone here has the same issue, for me this is ridiculous and I told them.
