problems with wireless service and wifi calling
I am unable to send pictures to an android phone from my iPhone 11. I also don't often get my voicemails until I drive down the street. I have both MMS and SMS enabled on my iPhone 11. I have tried resetting my network connection. I have restarted my phone. I have turned wifi calling on and off. I chatted with the Protech people and I was told I needed a cell booster by them or I need a new phone. None of the closest corporate stores have cell boosters in stock. I'm having a hard time with the customer service people understanding what I need. I had a 3g microcell in the past but that was shut down and I was told by att that all I needed was wifi calling. I live on the other side of a large hill. I REALLY don't want to switch carriers. The 3G microcell network has been turned off so I recycled my 3g microcell. They keep saying that I never had it on my account. How do I get help? I spent over 2 hours on the phone today. Any suggestions?

Hi there, jdfreud! We would love to help you with getting a cell booster.
According to our AT&T Accessories site, the cell boosters are out of stock at this time, so you are unable to order one online or in store. Please continue to check back at the aforementioned link above, and once they are in stock you can place your order.
As for your phone concerns, what error messages are you getting when you try to send texts or pictures? This will help us, because we may have some troubleshooting that we give you in order to resolve the concern
We do have a great tool, called our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool. This tool can help with many common problems with cellular devices. It can run tests and even capture your network information to provide a better resolution. For a personalized solution, please use the blue button on the right hand side of the page.
We would love to hear from you again, so come on back and let us know if the TS&R tool worked for you.
Thanks for using the AT&T Community Forums.

When I try to send a picture to an android phone it just won't send. I keep getting the try again box. I figured out I had to have the phone in airplane mode with WIFI calling on in order to trick the phone into sending a picture MMS to an android. There is not sufficient coverage in my area and MMS requires the phone to use cellular data not just wifi calling. I found this explanation in another thread. It seems there are three solutions to this problems, upgrade to a 5G phone, somehow get a cell booster or switch services. Because the 3G system has been dismantled I can no longer use the cell booster I had and there is no 4G/5Ge coverage in my area.

Hello @jdfreud,
Thanks for reaching back out to us.
That's correct. You would need a cellular data connection to send/receive MMS text messages.
As previously stated, we'd recommend checking periodically for when our cell boosters are back in stock.
You can also check upgrade eligibility and options at the link provided.
Hope this helps!
