Phone has no service

Earlier today my phone was working just fine - I had cell service, full connection. By noon, I had no connection or service at all. I’ve tried restarting to no avail. I can’t access the “cellular” tab within settings. In the about section of my phone, it says network and carrier are both not available. The bill is paid and I am supposedly not in an area with any outages. I truly don’t know what to do.

Have you called or checked your account online to see if your service has been suspended?  If it’s not a general tower or service issue, it’s either the SIM or SIM reader in the phone, or your service has been shut off.  You can try removing and reinstalling the SIM, or try resetting the network settings.  Or, if you have access to another AT&T SIM, you can in in your phone to eliminate a issue with the phone not reading the SIM.
