Order keeps getting canceled technical glitch

My order keeps getting canceled and chat support has been no help in explaining why or what to do. I've placed the order twice now. I get an email saying “Your order's in the works we’ll send you an email or text when your order is ready.” The next day around when the store is set to open I check for pickup status and I get an email “All or part of your order was canceled.” In the account it shows my order and trade are canceled. Notes say “We couldn't complete your order because of a technical glitch.”

Hello, amg_1182, we're here to give you context on why your online order gets cancelled.

Special thanks to our ACE, formerlyknownas, for their quick expertise.

Our first recommendation would be view this forums thread on order cancellations.

The most common reasons your order may have been cancelled are incorrect or mismatched information.  Examples would be; your address, billing information, or payment method and name.  Verifying and correcting this will get you back on track. You'll find other possible reasons below.

Other reason your order is on hold or canceled

  • We didn’t receive the required down payment for your order.
  • Not enough funds on account
  • There was either a system issue that prevented us from completing your order online or you initiated a request to cancel the order. In instances like this, you can reorder your device
  • Out of stock – you may need to reorder later
  • Customer from another carrier? We are waiting for the number transfer
  • Your address could not be verified
  • A pending balance on your account – it will need to be paid off before an order can be submitted
  • You are not eligible for an upgrade
  • Your account may have an expired card
  • Sometimes we have to be contacted to verify your order – we may need to verify your identity
  • We are reviewing your order for security purposes – your account security is important to us

Our second recommendation would be to use this resource to locate your nearby store. As previously mentioned by our ACE, visitng a store location is your best option, after your online order is cancelled twice.

Simply click, Filter, then click Company Owned Stores and click Apply.

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks so much for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

My advice is to stop ordering online/phone,  and go in person to buy.

I know it's a bit more of a hassle and more time, but repeated orders and cancellations set up red flags in the system which may prevent you from being able to purchase or upgrade
