Which Mac laptop and OS? If you have your iPhone connected to the Mac via a USB cable, then open the Photos app on your laptop and Import your photos. You may have to answer the "Trust this Computer" dialog box.
Or you can use AirDrop which will drop your photos, via BT, from your iPhone into the Downloads folder of your Mac which you can then drag to your desktop and then Import into Photos.
