All of a sudden, “ you are not allowed to name dialed carrier calls.” What? Why? What to do?
@Dash200 we can definitely assist with this,
Getting the call not allowed error can come from a few things relating to our service. Please make sure you are using a full 10 digit dial pattern and have the contact updated in your iPhone to reflect the area code. If not, the call may not go through in some areas that have similar numbers but different area codes. Also check to make sure you have not blocked anyone in your contact list to ensure your call goes through.
A few things to check are:
-are your services paid up to date for the month?
-are you currently suspended for non pay and not able to make/receive any calls at all?
-is this isolated to specific numbers?
Please let us know if we can assist any further. Thank You!

I got a call from a number that was blocked by Robokiller. Because it seems anyone who has a debt in collections seems to have given my phone number as a contact number, I tried to call the number back but got the "You are not allowed to make a carrier call." I made another call just after trying to call this number and I was successful. My number is not suspended and is working just fine. I don't understand why I can't call this number.
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Because you're still able to successfully make phone calls, it's possible that that specific phone number simply cannot receive incoming calls.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I’m having a problem calling my son from my iPhone it says you’re not allowed to make carrier calls and I have the ten digit number and contact is updated and he’s not blocked
I have figured out why I can’t call a specific person when I call them and get the message that I’m not allowed to make dialed carrier calls. It means that the number I’m calling has run out of minutes, so no one can call them until they add more minutes to their plan
What do i do. all cellular calls in my area code 608 are the issue. I can call land lines with the 608 area code. any ideas???
I get same message calling my husband on his us cellular phone (I’m att) but then he said he seen I was calling and answered and I wasn’t there so he called right back. So it can’t be that his phone is incapacitated I have restarted my phone twice. Never had problems til I done an update
I believe I have this is figured out. The peeps I have been calling have USC. I have been able to call others that use other carriers and land lines are connecting. Most likely a USC issue.
I too have went through the same restarts you have. It did start out that i could hear them but they could not hear me. All USC customers.
Called apple Not a problem on their end. Called AT&T guess several have already called in on same issue and they are working on it. Done a network reset and that didn’t work either
Same issue calling us cellular in 608 area code
Same here to us cellular in 608 area code
My wife, using AT&T, got the error message calling my mom on US Cellular in the 920 area code. She called on my Verizon work phone and got through.
How can we improve?
