limit incoming voicemail length

I do not use voicemail for several years because I don't like listening to several lenghty messages and sales pitches everyday but it would make my family happy if I had it. Is there a way to limit the lemgth of incoming voicemail messages to say, 10 seconds? This way they can be happy they say the called and left a message (callerid and return calls for some reason are not acceptable, and I dare not explain the advantages of texting again) Thanks in advance
