Hello @Ellasonly2003, we're happy to provide information to help resolve your down payment concerns.

Thank you, @dwill05 that is correct. The down payment required depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the cost of the device, credit file, and performance of any existing AT&T accounts.

Down payment if required will be either 30% of sales price or a dollar amount currently ranging from $200 to $1,400 (amount subject to change and may be higher).

Examples (amounts approximate): $1,099.99 sales price with $0 down is $30.56 per month, with $330 down (30%) is $21.39 per month, or with $600 down is $13.89 per month for 36 months.

You can check out our Terms of Service help page for more inforamtion. Let us know if you have any additional questions, and we'll be happy to help. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

No one here knows.  We’re all just customers, except for an occasional drop in by a forum CS rep.  Generally, they request a down payment when your credit check comes back bad, and wanting $720 sounds very bad.  Not sure what phone you’re actually trying to buy, but the cheapest 14+ is $899.  The base 14 is $799.

Why not buy the phone from Apple instead?

That’s what I’m saying tho. I’m 19 with a credit of 730. My credit is good regardless of age
