How do I access my second wireless number on the same iPhone?

The reason I bought a second number is for accounts that require a different one from my old one, such as an additional Amazon account for my charity gifts.

However, I can't figure out how to retrieve a text verification in order to use the second number!

Hi @dlstefan1, we’re here to help you.

We would like to let you know that to access a second wireless number on the same iPhone, you can use the built-in feature called "Dual SIM" or "Dual SIM Dual Standby," depending on your iPhone model and carrier support.

Check iPhone Compatibility: Please ensure your iPhone supports Dual SIM functionality.
Obtain a Second SIM Card or eSIM: You will need a second SIM card from AT&T or an eSIM card compatible with your device.
Insert or Activate the Second SIM/eSIM:
• If you have a physical SIM card, insert it into your iPhone's SIM card tray.
• If you're using an eSIM, contact AT&T to activate it on your device.

Set Up Dual SIM:
• Go to "Settings" on your iPhone.
• Scroll down and tap on "Cellular" or "Mobile Data."
• Tap on "Add Cellular Plan" or "Add Mobile Plan."
• Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your second number.
Switch Between Numbers:
• To switch between numbers, go to "Settings."
• Scroll down and tap on "Cellular" or "Mobile Data."
• Under "Cellular Plans," tap on the number you want to use as your primary or make calls/texts from.

Now, you can easily switch between the two numbers as needed. Keep in mind that certain features, like iMessage and FaceTime, can be associated with either number, or you can choose which one to use for each.

You can also find more information about Dual SIM Technology here.

Let us know if this info helps!

Thank you,
Susan, AT&T Community Specialist
