FAMILY MAP & IPHONE 5 DOESN'T WORK!

I've used Family Map with my two daughters Iphone 4's for a few years and it has worked outstanding. We recently upgraded to Iphone 5's and now (for the past three months) have very rarely been able to locate the phones. Both have downloaded the Family Map app (as per the instructions). I'm lucky to locate a phone once in 40 tries. Nothing has changed as far as where the two phones are located. What's the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I have same problem. Phones on and app is loaded and they are sitting in the room with me. What is the problem?

Hi there,

Can you tell me which version of the application you are using? The most current version is FamilyMap (iOS) v2.2. If you have the old companion application installed, please un-install it.

When using the new iPhone FamilyMap application, it's important that phones you wish to be able to locate:

FamilyMap needs to be installed on all devices you want to be able to locate
You need to invite your family members to join you and each family member must 'JOIN' the family to complete registration; there are a few SMS they will receive to go through the steps... it's not fantastic but we have certain limitations with iPhones when it comes to registering (sorry!).
Once this is done, the family member should allow FamilyMap to run in the background
Location services (i.e. GPS) must be enabled.

Please let me know you run into any issues.
