Delayed notifications from apps & messages

For quite a few weeks I’ve been having an issue with delayed notifications. The first time I receive the notification it will say something like “5 min ago” or “9 min ago” etc. The time varies, but they are intermittently delayed. I cannot make it happen on demand. It is happening with apps and text messages. I am also having an issue where my iMessages will be received delayed and will also come through as a text message and iMessage. It doesn’t matter if I’m on Wi-Fi, 5G, etc. I have been to Apple 4 times, have gotten a new SIM card and have gotten an entirely new phone. Nothing is helping. I have reset the phone, tried restoring from a backup and restoring from Apple ID. I have gone through every diagnostic and settings option possible. Apple is saying my only next step may be to start over with a completely new Apple ID in which case I will have to start over brand new. Has anyone experienced this or have a solution? Thank you!

Well, I thought it was working and I just had a delayed text. Just by 1 minute. But still delayed.

I have been having this issue persistently since around the beginning of the year. It got better for a little bit around a month ago and has been terrible ever since. All notifications come in anywhere from 2-10+ min late. I recently got a 'loud volume' notification and heard the sound but didn't get the actual notification in the notification center for 5 min. I don't get voicemail notifications for 15+ min after the actual missed call. Teams, Outlook, Authenticator, etc all have notifications that are insanely late... for MFA I just go straight to the app because I'll be sitting there waiting for the notification otherwise... it never used to be like this.

I believe this is AT&T not prioritizing Apple PNS data properly. It's surely not an Apple problem as users on other carriers are not having this problem. Completely unacceptable this has been going on for almost 6 months for many users... my bill is high enough and I'm out of contract anyway so I'm switching. Not worth waiting for them to sort it out.

I've encountered similar issues with AT&T, to the extent that I even acquired a brand new phone, only to find that the problems persisted. While Apple maintains that everything is functioning properly on their end and places the blame on the carrier, AT&T seems unable to identify the root cause. It's worth mentioning that I'm aware of a few other individuals who are experiencing the same problem.

I'm also facing it. Notifications consistently arrive with a delay ranging from 2 to 10 or more minutes. Just recently, I received a notification with a loud volume, heard the sound, but the actual notification didn't appear in the notification center until 5 minutes later.

Anyone else having issues again? All of my problems were fixed after one of you on here posted you worked with ATT to solve the problem but today we’re back to delayed notifications of 2-10minutes and only coming through when my phone is open and unlocked!
