Dead Zone for Data Download, South Jordan, SLC, UT

In a mile radius from 3731 S. Jordan Pkway South Jordan, UT 84095, there is a dead zone where no AT&T wireless phone can receive any data download. There is cell reception, making/receiving calls isn't an issue, but internet, apps - completely dead. This is a great source of frustration as this a heavy populated area with businesses like, Walmart, Costco, Vasa Fitness and UPS. Would someone from AT&T be willing to investigate this issue and see if there's a resolve available?

Hello @! We understand how important it is to have cellular connectivity outdoors.

Please edit your address due to your privacy since this is a public forum. We did go ahead and check your area coverage and towers are good.

In regards to the dead zones, we recommend using our Troubleshoot And Resolve Tool for now. Go to Fix an Issue > Service Issue > Cellular connectivity and also recommend using any secure WI-FI available

We hope this helps!

Hi Rhoda, the address is not my own, but a very popular business in the center of the coverage issue. I've been working with the Business Mobility help desk and the networking team. They have communicated that are aware of the coverage issue and unwilling to fix it

. Here's my last communication with them.

Well this is quite unfortunate. It is very disappointing to hear that AT&T, knowingly providing poor service "poor coverage area", acknowledges that it is "working as intended". This is not caring about customers! This is a heavy populated area and causes a lot of frustration for all AT&T cellular customers.

Poor signal strength is always a big deal, cwhipple !

Everything revolves around the cell phones these days in which signal is definitely needed. However, in highly congested areas data coverage can be slowed due to the high traffic. Coverage is subject to change at any time and is not always guaranteed in that instance.

We have been working on ways to improve our network. We constantly monitor and improve our network to bring you the best wireless experience.

We encourage the use of Wifi or Hotspots when available.

Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Spotty is one thing, completely dead is another. It's been this way for at least the last 3 years now. It's unfortunate that AT&T chooses not to do anything to address it. If this wasn't a work phone, I'd already be gone.
