Constant spam messages. Unblockable.

For the past hour, I have been getting constant spam messages from 9 digit numbers in the form of 410-200-xxx. The last 3 digit increments by 1 every time so I can't block them. The claim they are facebook but I don't even have a facebook. I used to only get them once every 2 days but for the past hour it has been constant. As I am typing this they are still harassing me. Do I really have to pay out of my pockets to change my number? Please don't tell me to forward to 7726 like everyone else because I have done that in the past and it does nothing.

Do you have a Facebook account? Spam calls like those are all but impossible to block.

As stated in the post, I do not have a Facebook account. However I don't think they are actually facebook either so that's beside the point. What am I supposed to do when they have sent over 100 messages in the past hour? Will AT&T grant me a free number change?

You can always ask, but thats assuming you can get a hold of anyone at AT&T. I wouldn’t get your hopes up that they will change your number for free, even if you did get through.

@customerfornow as stated above, AT&T Support, like a lot of other companies just don't have the staffing now because of CV-19 so getting official help, and even a number change is probably not gonna happen. Even if you can get a number change, there's no guarantee that spam like that won't come back. It's not just AT&T either, all carriers are having issues with spam.

Do keep in mind that the Forums are not for official support. They are for customers helping customers so asking or complaining here won't get you the help you need.
