Constant dropped calls at same location for last two weeks (06/11/22)

For the last two weeks, any calls made or received while at home are immediately or within a matter of minutes dropped. After daily calls to AT&T, I have tried switching Airplane mode on/off, the most recent update has been made. I have tried it with wi-fi both on and off and that didn’t make a difference. They checked for outages in the area, there were none reported. I was able to make a call about eight miles from here, and carry a hour long conversation yesterday without it dropping the call. Once I returned home, it started again. My memory is not overly full, I have turned the power on/off again. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey there @Kfergy65, we understand your concerns with experiencing dropped calls, and we want to help provide you with a conclusion.

To start, we'd recommend for you to review our helpful Forums Article regarding dropped calls and low quality. Be advised,  AT&T may slow down speeds to keep everyone connected. Also, if you see a drop in service, or slow speeds, at a specific time, this could indicate another concern, like equipment around you cause interference.

  • Check to see if any known devices activate around the time your service drops.
  • Try to restart your device or reset your device network settings.
  • Check out causes why your device is slowing down.

Also, this could mean there may be a temporary outage in your area at this time. To check for an outage in your area:

To check for network coverage:

If all other dosen't help, you may need to proceed with device troubleshooting:

We'd advise for you to proceed with these following options to see if that helps and let us know how it worked for you. If not, please provide us with the make and model of your device so that we're able to provide device specific support.

Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community.

I have done ALL of the above, made calls to your tech support people. Went into the store yesterday, he thought it just needed the latest upgrade. Another thought I needed to have it on “wi-if” settings while at home until the “problem resolved itself.” If your calls were dropping with this frequency, perhaps someone would address the issue. My phone memory isn’t overloaded. I have an iPhone 8, it hasn’t had any charging issues. No other issues until this one! Again, the first thing I checked for were outages in the area. You sent a cut/paste response without reading my message. Thank you!
