Can't Unlock my iPhone its carrier locked
I punched this device from abroad and I accidently got a locked iPhone from the seller. I got to know this after I came back to my original country, later after 1.5 years through apple support I was informed that it is locked with At&t. I then requested At&t to unlock it through its free web portal. After 5 minutes I received an email saying "We can't unlock this device". How I am suppose to get it unlocked? I have not done any fraud nor I was aware that its locked with At&t. Please help me out ASAP
We can't unlock this device.
Device IMEI number: XXXXXXXX (I have hidden it)
Request number: XXXXXXXXXXX

Hi RANA,
Unfortunately, the device you're trying to unlock is associated with fraud so we can't unlock it.
Thanks for choosing us,
AT&T

You may have not done anything fraudulent but whoever you bought it from apparently did. Bottom line, ATT won’t unlock it. If you were in the US, you could escalate to corporate by filing an FCC complaint but since you are abroad, there isn’t anything you can do.
