What do you mean by upgrade, more data? If your current plan is 6GB of data, you are on an old plan. The only current capped data plan is 4GB, so your only choices for more data are one of the three unlimited data plans. Each unlimited data plan does offer hotspot data. Go to att.com to see how much hotspot each plan offers and prices.
