I’m on the same boat this year ATT ordering has a week or two between apple release dates than usual.  I had the ATT and Apple website preorder windows open at the same time and I was eligible to get the phones via physically going to the apple store friday 23rd right at store opening.  I ended up going with ATT but before it was always released day of, not allocated after release date.  

Of course if i go through Apple locally the wait time now as of today is Saturday the 24th BUT i have to worry about upgrade eligibility window now and just decided to leave it as is.  

It’s possible ATT will get their shipment Friday but deliver them monday, aTT delivers on business days only from what I have seen... strange times indeed

I have the worst luck also, I preordered these right at 7:01 CST and still no updates.  

@Asterion13  If you ordered through AT&T, it’s too early to get any tracking information, if that’s what you mean by order status update.  It will show “in progress” (or something like that) until it ships, and when it ships you’ll get a tracking number.  In the past, tracking numbers haven’t shown up until the day before the phone is to be delivers, so for delivery this Friday, I wouldn’t expect a tracking number to show up until Thursday.

Ordered an IPhone 12 Pro and it says that my ship date is November 9th is it true? Because if that’s the case I might as well get the 12 Pro Max.

I upgraded my phone though.. like I’ll still use it with my current line. I did the whole 0 dollars a month trade in offer they have going. Do those requirements still pertain to me?

So Apple still says preparing to ship, but my UPS app says I have a package from China arriving on Friday. I can only assume that’s my phone as I haven’t ordered anything else that would be coming directly from China.

Ordered the 12 pro last Friday, and still says in progress. Granted, it says the delivery date between october 26- november 2 but I still have not got any update.

Yeah, that’s your phone. AT&T’s statuses are always screwed up.

I got the same thing this morning, and like you, my status is still showing “preparing to ship”.

Mine says "Preparing to ship" however you if you text their *6737# and answer the questions, it tells me that my item is on back order and they will alert me when it ships. Is that normal? 

When I text the *6737# it also says that my items are on backorder.

For those that got the status preparing to ship did they charge your bank account again with the taxes?
