So AT&T is opening pre-orders 5 hours before Apple?  Apple is starting preorders at 5am PDT (8am EST) according to both their web page and app.  That’s very much a surprise since the carriers usually start taking preorders at the same time as Apple, not earlier.

Yes. Ordering two Pros tomorrow and a Pro Max next month!

Ordered two iPhone Pro 256 in Blue & Graphite. Smooth sailing and no issues whatsoever. Easiest ordering yet. Got email order confirmations right away.

After I was done, jumped over on Apple’s site, and they weren’t even ready for orders as of 5:05 PST.  Right now pages not loading for orders either.

Hopefully Apple will fix in three weeks for the Pro Max ordering.  Even if the Apple site was slow, I wouldn’t order from AT&T.

I'll be back here in three weeks to order the Pro Max. Never had any issues ordering from AT&T though. 

I’ve never had an issue when I ordered from AT&T in the past either.  However, for the last few iPhones, I’ve ordered from Apple.  Much better tracking and they come unlocked.

Ordered 12 Pro within 2 minutes of opening, but confirmation email said delivery date is about 3 week out, while Apple site said 1 week, even hours later. Is the AT&T confirmation accurate, or just a stock message?

Possible AT&T is right, for orders from them.  Ordering iPhones from AT&T vs. Apple isn’t a free-for-all for orders all coming from one giant pile of phones.  Apple allocates their phone stock between themselves and the carriers, and Apple keeps the largest allocation for themselves.  When Apple or a carrier reaches the limit for their launch day allocation of stock is when they start to push out the date.  Apple having an earlier date that AT&T usually just means that AT&T hit their allocation limit before Apple did, so AT&T started pushing out due date earlier.

Also, in my experience, there is a chance you might not have to wait the full three weeks and it comes a little earlier.
