Visiting the USA from Israel - cellular phone question

On my previous trips to the USA I brought in my phone, which I made sure supports some of your LTE bands and naturally also the UMTS frequencies and bought a pre-paid phone program for the duration of my stay (usually, a month). Following your network changes, with the dismantling of the UMTS network and the move to 5G, I wanted to check with you regarding a number of phone models I am considering to purchase to see if they could work with your network. These are mid-range phones price wise. My first preference is the Samsung A53 5g phone. In Israel, they sell the model 536e, which is not the model sold in the USA. Is this phone supported and can work on your network. Is there a Xiaomi phone that works on your network? For example, the POCO X4 Pro 5G ? Any other model?

Most phones sold outside of US won't be supported on AT&T network. T-Mobile is a lot more lenient (I have recently been able to use a T-Mobile SIM in a Xiaomi Redmi phone) so if they have coverage where you'll be staying it's a safer bet.

Thanks, dmapr.  I will try to check it with T-Mobile.  I think this is a stupid move on the side of AT&T, to give up on the tourist hordes that visit the USA and need cellular phone service during their stay.

@doron First Link below has list of compatible phones that works on AT&T network. Phones sold for the international market may use 3G for calls. Since AT&T now uses VoLTE for calls they will no long we be able to make calls. 2nd link below you can check T-Mobile for compatibility.
