Unlock New Surface duo

Hi, I got an surface duo from Amazon but when try to request unlock code from

https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/. It is saying

We can't unlock this device for you because AT&T did not sell or activate it

I am not able to reach att customer support, can some one please help?

You can try an FCC complaint, and I hope you are in the USA. I assume you have tried your sim card and it doesn't work.

In general AT&T requires minimum service in order to register the phone to unlock it. Assuming you don't want that, you may have to return the phone.

Buy unlocked...

Cannot recommend buying At&t phones from a non authorized 3rd party.

Thank you, I checked with att store they are saying we can't unlock, you use with att alone. Well I guess I will return this device
