Samsung Galaxy S8 Cannot Make Calls

Model number: SM-G950U1

I have already tried several fixes mentioned in other posts and nothing has worked, including:

  • Restarting the phone
  • Resetting the network
  • Making sure VoLTE is switched on
  • Turning airplane mode on and then off again

Everything else seems to be working fine - I can send and receive texts. When making a call it immediately disconnects and says call ended.

Can someone please assist?

Yelp you need to get a new phone as yours is no longer compliant with ATT as you need a phone that has VoLTE which yours does not.  None of the U1 8 series work.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is listed there. So I dont understand why is it not working. It says my software is up to date? I'm having the same.issue with the same phone. Fiance has the same issue with Galaxy S10+.

Depends on what the model number is...  If it ends in U1 on a 8 series its time for new phone or new carrier.

I wish I came across this post on February 28.  That is when my phone stopped working.  I wasted over 5 hours of my time with 5 different representatives on the phone with ATT trouble shooting something that they knew is not going to work.  None of them told me that my Samsung Note 8 N95ou1 is no longer supported.

The way this was handled is completely unprofessional and unexpected.  

Not enough I am forced now to buy a new phone!  And how many customers like I are there?  It looks like it is time for a new (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines).

I'm having the same issue..I was recieving texts telling me I need to change settings to HD voice ..i followed the steps and I don't have the option for LTE...HD voice...I cannot afford a brand new phone... SUPER STRESSFUL
