Old phone broke, need to find out how to use SD card with backup phone.
I have a Motorola that I've been using for years and have had no problems with it, however it no longer charges and had been laying dead for a day or so. I've tried cleaning the port, using different cables and many other things, yet after repeated failures I decided to simply put the SD card in a backup phone I kept for just such an occasion. The problem is that i hadn't consideres that the card would be network locked, as the very phone that I'm posting this on was once with tracfone. I was wondering if there was any way to set up THIS phone with AT&T, hopefully asap as I'm supposed to have a phone interview tomorrow and I'd prefer not to reschedule. My current phone is a Galaxy S7.

I think you're confused
An SD card is storage only. It has nothing to do with your carrier at all.
So you must mean Sim card. SIM card looks quite a bit like an SD card, but a SIM card is programmed with your carriers information and has your carriers logo on it. It contains your phone number and account information and that's about it.
If you are trying to use a different phone, either the SIM card is PUK locked or the phone you are trying to use is carrier-locked to a different carrier.
Since the phone you are trying to use was once with TracFone, it is most likely that the phone is locked TracFone and you have to contact them about their unlock procedures. So this is not an AT&T problem. Good luck

@Vickieellis57 well that's where your sim card is right?
Your phone is not how you get service. Your phone is metal and glass and plastic. Your service is delivered through the SIM card which is a tiny piece of cardboard and Metal.
