Microcell replacement email

We live in an area that has sketchy cell phone service from all carriers. AT&T granted us a Micricess and it has worked flawlessly since. Now that 3G sunset is coming, the Microcell will no longer work.  I received an e-mail that appeared to be from AT&T but may be a spam/scam. It said that AT&T will replace our Microcell with a cell booster. What action should I take before 3G goes away. Ohm Microcell wont work on the new AT&T network.

@trico AT&T is indeed sending out emails to most of the current MicroCell users with active accounts informing them that AT&T will be sending out a new, free, Cell Booster to replace the MicroCell. The first emails were sent out in late December informing those customer that they would be sent one for free and there was nothing else to do. Most of them have been sent out and received by now. The second "wave" is probably the email you just received. In that email, you do need to contact AT&T via the website linked and order. There is no cost to you but the website has had access issues that are being worked out now. If you can't get thru to the website, try a different browser or just keep trying.

The Cell Booster is still a femtocell just like the MicroCell.
