How to update the phone outside of US?
I have a Galaxy Note 4 and Gear VR but to start using VR I have to update software. Updater says my software is already up to date. This is a dead end. Samsung help told me to get help from phone provider because of custom software. Also this is probably because I'm in London. Is there a workaround for this? I could flash it myself with odin but I can't find a correct rom. Unbranding would be the best option to install generic software but it's also impossible
I found that AT&T is the only company that blocked the phone from unbranding making you doomed for bloatware.

In the past Samsung has released updates for AT&T phones via Kies, I remember updating the original Note to ICS that way. But if they're not releasing the update via Kies, then your only hope is that someone circumvents the AT&T bootloader lock.

the note 4 as of right now cant be rooted or the bootloader unlocked. Samsung did a good job encrypting it just like verizon

unless your in the us the phone will not update. it has to start the download connected to the ATT network.
