How do I change the in-app text sound?

I cracked my old phone and had to get a new AT&T phone, a Calypso, and I don't like the new sound for when you're in the app actively texting.

In messaging settings there is an option to change the notification sound for getting a text, but this only applies when you're not using the texting app. There's a different sound that plays when you are in texting that there doesn't seem to be an option for.

There also doesn't appear to be an option to change the sound for outgoing texts, though there is one for turning it on or off.

Hey there @, we'd like to share some helpful information with you.

Your AT&T Calypso doesn't provide a option for changing the notification sound for in text or outgoing messages.

We hope this helps.

The AT&T Calypso is really a bare bones phone.  If you want something with more features, you will need to upgrade to a more capable device... it's worth it if you can.

ACCESS MESSAGE SETTINGS: From the home screen, select the Messaging app. Select the Menu icon, then select Settings. ADJUST NOTIFICATION ALERTS & SOUND: Scroll to and select Notifications, then select the Notifications switch to turn notifications on or off. ADJUST RINGTONE: Select Sound.
