Delayed shipping for Google Pixel 6 Pro.

I went in store and decided to swap phones/upgrade to the Google pixel 6 pro. I placed a successful order on July 11th, 2022. The original shipping date was between July 20 - July 27. However my order has now been delayed to SHIP between August 5 - 12. I am very confused however because I have looked on the AT&T website and if I bought the exact same phone (Google PIxel 6 pro Stormy Black) from there It says the DELIVERY date is between August 5 - 12 as well. Does this mean I would've had my phone sooner if I had just bought through the website??? Will I then have to wait ever more for it to reach my doorstep??? Very confusing and frustrating. I understand if there are back orders or shortages but for the website to say DELIVERY and on my account to say SHIPPING, it becomes very confusing and unfair. Any Help?

It's possible that if you had ordered directly from the AT&T website, you may have received your phone sooner or at the same time, but there's no way to know for sure.
