Prepaid phone numbers not associated with account anymore
Hello all,
Tonight I received an email from AT&T Prepaid letting me know my phone numbers are no longer associated with my account. To add insult to the injury, I cannot even sign in to myATT, because that's been disconnected as well.
I hold 2 AT&T Prepaid phone numbers and pre-pay each of them yearly.
Due to the pandemic, we've been stranded overseas for a long while, with no phone access, so there is plenty of money to go on each account. I still paid, though, to keep my phone numbers active. Next payment isn't due until fall.
This is completely unacceptable, out of the blue and in the middle of a billing cycle. If AT&T can send the notification AFTER disassociating the phone numbers, surely AT&T could email AHEAD of disassociating as well.
I do need both phone numbers and accounts with the full amount on each of them reinstated asap!
Is there any help that can be provided, please?!

Have you received any text messages in the past few months about upgrading your phone because of the 3-g shutdown?

Thanks for the reply.
My phone doesn't have network access, because AT&T prepaid does not work internationally. My AT&T phone doesn't do HD Voice, but that never was a problem until I got stuck overseas due to the pandemic. Getting a new AT&T phone is on my list as soon as I get back to the US. So no, I did not receive any text messages.
But surely they cannot just throw one off, just because the phone doesn't comply at the time? I did pay for a year of service, and that year isn't up yet. Is there anything that can be done?

Again, thanks for the answer.
As I said, my AT&T phones do neither Wifi calls nor HD voice, so even if AT&T did send messages, I did not receive them.
In any case, I finally reached someone at AT&T support. It is as you wrote, phone numbers got suspended due to 3G. Good news is, as soon as I get new phones, my phone numbers will be reinstated. Now I just have to find a phone that takes US SIM cards. Samsung has regional restrictions, Huawei is a no go.
