Physical prepaid sim card (12 months) to esim

Hi

I'm using 12 months prepaid service (physical sim card) and now I need esim cause I'm gonna change my phone which only accept esim. How can I use this prepaid plan in my new phone?

iPhone 13 has physical SIM and eSIM. SIM tray on left hand side below volume up and down buttons.

Hello, @issidde we'd be happy to answer your question about setting up eSIM to an AT&T PREPAID Plan.

To obtain the eSIM you would have to purchase in your local AT&T corporate store. The activation card comes with a QR code that must be scanned and directions on how to activate the device. Depending on your device type the steps may differ. For Samsung devices:

1.  Connect to Wi-Fi.
2.  Open Settings.
3.  Select Connections.
4.  Select SIM card manager.
5.  Select Add mobile plan.
6.  Follow the prompts to scan the QR code on your eSIM activation card from AT&T.

An eSIM gives you more flexibility to manage your wireless plan and eSIM-compatible device.

•  You download an eSIM and activate it, so you don’t have to manage a physical SIM card.
•  For Apple devices with eSIM capabilities, you don’t have to order a card or go to a store to get one.

1. Go to your phone settings.
2. Tap one of the following (what you see depends on the device you have):

  • AT&T Cellular Plan Ready to be Installed, then Continue
  • Cellular, then Add a Plan

If you have a current Prepaid plan, once you sign in with your wireless number your plan will be connected to your new device.

I'm gonna change my phone which only accept esim

What phone is that? I’ve never heard of a phone that only takes an esim. By the way, if you follow the instructions above, I’m pretty sure you’ll get a new number and new account.

As noted, an iPhone 13 has a physical sim and esim. There are no iPhones that are esim only. Just move your SIM card to the new phone. If you want to convert it to an esim after moving it, you can do that right from the phone.
