Locked SIM

I’m a senior and my brother in another city pays for my AT&T prepaid every month. I somehow locked my phone and need that PUK code. Trouble is is that he can’t remember the email he used at the time that he doesn’t use anymore. We’ve tried everything and both have communicated with AT&T. Without the original email on the account they say there’s nothing they can do. I’m 65 and live alone with nobody near now with a cellphone I can’t call or get calls or texts. Can anybody help? Thanks

Locked?  Explain?  A p u k is a SIM lock which lock a SIM card to a particular phone so it can't be removed and inserted in a different phone without knowing the code. It's a prevent the SIM card and your service from being stolen by somebody who can't use your phone, but they can remove the sim and use it in a different phone.

In order to change any information on your prepaid account, including the associated email oh, you need to log into your account on the pay go online website with your 10-digit phone number and alphanumeric password. If you don't know the password or the security pin code you can reset them via text.

Of course this means you have to have access to your phone to do so. Unless you have switched phones, there is no reason the SIM card would not work in the phone it was originally PUK locked to.

If you are referring to a screen lock, that doesn't allow you to get into your phone and you have not switched your sim card, this is an entirely different lock and AT&T cannot remove it.

Read this please.  If you don't know the pin, do not guess.

Hi , we are here to help unlock your SIM!

We recommend using our step by step instructions to get your PIN/PUK code. Please keep in mind that if your device displays PUK2 or PUK blocked call operator, then the wrong PUK code was entered 10 or more times in a row. The SIM card is blocked and must be replaced. You can replace your SIM Card at our nearest AT&T Store.
