Bring current at&t phone number to replacement phone
Hello...I lost my phone and bought/activated an Alcatel phone from Dollar Gen. with new number. My old number is still mine and just autodrafted (at&t pre-paid) from my bank acct. How can I change this current cheapie Alcatel prepaid card number to my current At&t Prepaid number?...(which is still mine cause it just autodrafted)

You would not have wanted to activate the new SIM card, instead you should have gone to an AT&T store and have a new SIM card made with your old phone number

Which you can still do. Once you have the old number back on your phone, just quit paying for the new number and let it expire.

As our ACEs @formerlyknownas & @sandblaster mentioned, it's best to purchase and update a new SIM on your wireless line then put the new SIM in your new Alcatel phone. You may need to contact us to have the IMEI updated on your account. Also, don't renew the new account because it will expire on it's own. Your nearest AT&T Store can provide further assistance for an in person experience to help guide you more quickly and efficiently.
