Adding a line for a user currently on T-Mobile
Hello there, I am trying to add an additional user to my prepaid account but when I try to do so, I keep getting a 'Subscriber is not valid' error. I am thinking the number must be ported over but I am unsure how to go about doing that. The number is attached to a T-Mobile account that is NOT prepaid. Would I first have to contact T-Mobile to release the number from the existing account? And once that's done, how do I go about adding the number to my account? Thank you!

To port a number from T-Mobile you need the T-Mobile account number and account pin. All prepaid numbers have their own account. You would first need to port the number, purchase a plan and then you can invite that number to join your multiline account. To start the port process, go to an ATT store or start here: https://www.att.com/prepaid/byod/
