$55 autopay
I have had the $55 autopay plan for a couple of years now. Every month I get the following message, “AT&T Free Msg: Your AutoPay payment of $55.00 plus taxes & fees will occur in 2 days on 2021-05-23. The amount will be lower if you have money in your account.”
then regardless of always having enough in my account, I’m charged $59.10. Why?

I finally got it figured out, somebody’s making bonuses at AT&T.
AT&T Prepaid AutoPay "The amount will be lower if you have money in your account"
they charge a tax on your payments, wherever it’s coming from. You do not have to have a balance if you are enrolled in auto pay. They charge an extra 10% approximately whether you pay through auto pay or also have a balance in your account. Here is the clincher when you go to your payment history it doesn’t show the extra 10% in your payment even though they took it.
