Soon to be ex AT&T customer

I am posting this as I am so disappointed with AT&T. I have been an AT&T wireless customer for over 30 years plus have had internet, TV and a separate hot spot account for several years. I have been overpaying for services and have spent over 5 hours of my life on the phone with service reps in the last few weeks who have all agreed and offered "new services" at rates that any existing customer can get. It does not matter if you have been a customer for 3 months or 30 years. That AT&T promotes their appreciation to loyalty has become an insult. I will be shopping for new providers and moving my services.

Any customer can change plans at any time, but it’s not ATTs job to read your bill and know the newer plan is better for you.  It’s yours.

How will you select your new carrier?  I hope by reading the websites to see who might cover you and who might have the best deal.  So why didn’t you do that with ATT?

ATT (and every other carrier) advertises new plans all the time.  They even have pop ups and ads on the bill for new plans.  So you never read your bill, never see TV ads?   Notfor all the great plans in the past 4 years?

No carrier is going to send you an engraved invitation

I do not expect an engraved invitation but I would like customer support representatives knowledgeable enough in all of their employers products to make inquires of the customers needs in order to get them the best product offered to suit their needs. It is very frustrating to have to speak with customer service, then customer service internet loyalty then customer service wireless loyalty to address each of the issues. The real kicker here is that the plan suggested by the last representative addressed one of my most pressing needs but what they did not tell me is that for literally pennies more per month I could increase hotspot availability by 5 GB per month. If I pay for a service I do not believe I should have to research ALL of the options they offer.

If your last comment is in regards to the unlimited plus accounts, there may be good reason it was not recommended.  The newest unlimited enhanced plus account is flawed.  It’s more expensive than the previous unlimited plus plan.  It gives you more hotspot gigs per line, but you cannot have a stand alone hotspot.  Also if you have more than 4 devices, the 5th and any additional device is more per line.

You can always use the online comparison tool in your My ATT account.
