Reinstalling Voicemail after 60 day limit

I didn't setup my voicemail initially, not knowing after 60 days apparently it is removed from your account, which I find strange since it comes with your account and one might want to set it up at a later time...anywho...how/where do I get it reinstalled so I can use my voicemail?

@ATTHelp I’m currently faced with the same issue. Disappointed with the fact that we would need to call tech support to have this issue resolved instead of being able to have an option to be able to self resolve online. I wouldnt mind getting a canned response (generic email) from you guys only if It really helped guide the customers with step by step instructions on how to solve the issue one is trying to resolve. Automated virtual assistants are incapable of solving more complex issues and give us the same generic response that lead us to the main page with no further guidance after stating on the chat what it was I was having trouble with. We are not given the option to Contact by email to get support team to fix issues that are not online. The online support needs improvement.

So nobody answered this question...all "Jenn" did was take you to the page for setting it up before 60 days...

They claim if you don’t set up in 60 days you lose the service and the ability to set this up spent 2 hours on phone and visited store. Time to file action with Attorney General and Federal Trade Commission. This is totally ridiculous.

On top of this I have a working number which stopped getting voicemail in Nov. no one can solve this. As a business owner you need to have voicemail and you shouldn’t have to speak to 14 totally useless people and go visit a store to still have the issue unresolved. Two buttons voicemail on or off. Should be standard on every phone.

Hi there, brendanfilm. We know how important it is to have your voicemail working. We can definitely assist you with that!

Before we can further assist, we need to invite you into a direct message to continue our interaction in a private setting.

You will find our direct message located in the upper right corner of the Forums which is the chat icon next to the bell icon.

A couple questions:

  •  Are you getting an error when trying to access the voicemail app on your device? If so, what error pop ups or message do you get?
  • Did you ever set up the voicemail at all in the beginning or just leave it blank?

In most cases, the voicemail profile can be accessed by pressing and holding the #1 key and following the automated prompts.

We look forward to working with you!

After 4 hours and a visit to the ATT store no one could help. So I called the corporate number got routed to the Philippines and was giving the representative a piece of my mind (pretty unhappily) when she calmly told me she would see to it to resolve my issue. And she did. That lady needs to be running ATT. I gave her a recommendation and told her supervisor who didn’t seem to grasp how smart dedicated and caring this lady was. Bottom line this should not take this amount of stress and aggravation to solve and maybe ATT needs more instructional classes on problem solving.
